Consultation opportunity: Have your say about Psychosocial Disability and the NDIS

01 August 2023

The NDIS Review seeks to understand more about the experiences of people with a psychosocial disability and their family, carers, and kin within the NDIS. The National Mental Health Consumer and Carer Forum (NMHCCF) is working with the NDIS Review to conduct a series of consultations to inform their final report, which will be presented to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in October. This will seek to provide advice to the highest level of government on how to improve psychosocial supports both inside and outside the NDIS.

The NMHCCF will run three separate consultations with people with a psychosocial disability, and three separate consultations with the family, carers, and kin of people with a psychosocial disability.

Each consultation will consist of 8 participants, last 2 hours in length, and participants will be reimbursed $140 per hour for your participation (paid carers and those attending for the purpose of supporting their loved one with a psychosocial disability will receive $60 per hour).
