Mental Health Australia Auspicing

Mental Health Australia (MHA) is the auspicing organisation for the NMHCCF. 

MHA is the peak, national non-government organisation representing and promoting the interests of the Australian mental health sector and committed to achieving better mental health for all Australians.

Providing a Secretariat to the NMHCCF, MHA are key NMHCCF stakeholders. Their support has included:

  • Practical implementation of NMHCCF decisions and actions
  • Practical support of members
  • Assistance in process and project development
  • Liaison with Government agencies and organisations
  • Negotiation of funding agreements and contracts
  • Management of staff funded by the NMHCCF
  • Processing financial transactions and reporting on expenditure
  • Participation in the preparation of an Annual Report
  • Submission development assistance
  • Communications planning support
  • Sharing mental health reforms information
  • Regular Executive meetings with Secretariat, Strategic Projects Consultant, MHA CEO and MHA Board

MHA continues to be valued partners with the NMHCCF.

MHA also draws upon the expertise of the NMHCCF to support its representative selection process (SMHCCR), with the Co-Chairs or proxies acting as panel members.

MHA also invites the Executive members as guests to participate in their bi-annual Members Policy Forums and the Grace Groom Oration.
