Submission to the Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Health Care: Consultation on the Draft National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards

The Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) called for submissions on the Draft National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards.

The National Mental Health Consumer & Carer Forum (NMHCCF) submitted a response to the call for submissions in May 2020.

Reason for the submission

The ACSQHC has developed Draft National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards and is seeking feedback on the draft.

The NMHCCF’s submission focused on the following key points:

  • The primary aim of the Draft National Safety and Quality Digital Mental Health Standards is to improve the quality of digital mental health service provision and to protect service users from harm.
  • Specific elements of the document and the specific standards including intent of the standards, terminology, language and model of care.
