Submission from the NMHCCF to the Productivity Commission Inquiry into Disability Care and Support May 2011.
The National Mental Health Consumer and Carer Forum (NMHCCF) has developed a Position Statement on Psychosocial Disability Associated with Mental Health Conditions in response to the Productivity Commission Inquiry into Disability Care and Support. The aim of the Position Statement is to define psychosocial disability, explore how well the needs of people with psychosocial disability are currently being met and make recommendations that will inform ongoing disability support options for this group. We believe that this Position Statement will be an important reference for mental health consumers and carers, policy makers and service providers in the mental health and disability sectors and in the broader community.
